Prior to starting Anchor Protection Services, Johan Theron – the owner, was the Branch Manager of one of the top 10 Security Companies in South Africa. He saw a need in the market to offer the clients the type of service he and his employees are rendering today.
Anchor Protection Services is the oldest Security Company in the port of Port Elizabeth that performs Stowaway Searches and specialized in it since the Company was started. Due to our commitment, dedication and work ethic not one of our Marine Clients have cancelled any contract – this just proof that we are a cut above the rest.
About Johan
He finished school in 1982 and joined the then South African Police where he held the position of Detective Sergeant prior to his resignation in 1990. He worked at the Local Government (Security Department) where he headed the Internal Affairs section until his resignation in 2000. He then started at one of South Africa’s top 10 Security Companies and within a year was asked to become the Branch Manager in Port Elizabeth. He held that position for 2 years before resigning to start Anchor Protection Services in 2005.
Johan studied several courses and some of the courses he achieved are National Diploma: Policing and Management Course in Security. He attended over 40 external training centers and courses in his 25 years in the Security Industry.
Johan is a firm believer in discipline and client satisfaction.
